This license applies to a registered version of UpdateShield Professional. If you have an evaluation version of UpdateShield Professional, see the Evaluation License.

Software License Agreement for UpdateShield 1.0 Professional: Standard License

Notice: Carefully read the License Agreement ("License") below before using this product. Using this product indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. If you do not find the terms of this License acceptable, promptly contact your vendor to return the unused product with its accompanying items within ten (10) days.

1. License Grant. Sciensoft Research. ("Sciensoft") grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use one copy of the Product ("Software") acquired with this License. The Software is in "use" on a computer when it is stored in memory (either temporary or permanent). As the Software is a software development product to create a "Software Protection System" over application programs ("Protected Programs"), the License grants you to use the Software in the manner described below.

a. Protected Programs. You may create the Software Protection System over your own application programs using the Software including any libraries and source code provided for such purposes. You may use, reproduce, give away, or sell your Protected Programs without additional license or fees.

b. Redistributable Components. The Software includes certain files intended for distribution ("Redistributables") that you may distribute them to the users of your Protected Programs. Copies of Redistributables may only be distributed with and for the sole purpose of using with your Protected
Programs. Redistributables may include various file types as well as programs or utilities intended to facilitate the use of your Protected Programs.
Redistributables for this Software are only those files designated as such in the "redist.txt" file provided with the Software.

2. Copyright. The Software is owned by Sciensoft and is protected by Thailand copyright laws and international treaty provisions and all other applicable national laws. Therefore, you must treat the Software like any other copyrighted material (e.g., a
book or musical recording) except you may make one copy of the Software solely for backup or archival purposes.

3. Restrictions. You may not decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble or otherwise reduce the Software to human-perceivable form. You may not modify, adapt, translate, rent, lease or loan the Software for profit, or create derivative works based upon the Software in whole or in part. You must retain this License as your proof of license to this Software.

4. Limited Warranty. Sciensoft warrants that the media on which the Software was distributed and the documentation will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of original purchase.

5. Warranty Disclaimer. The Software is provided on an "as is" basis without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Sciensoft disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including without limitation the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Sciensoft shall have no liability with respect to its obligations under this License for consequential, exemplary or incidental damages even if it has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

6. Limitation of Liability. In no event shall Sciensoft be liable for direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or any other damages (such as, loss of business, profits, revenue, data) arising out of the use or inability to use the Software, even if Sciensoft have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

7. General. This License is governed by the laws of Thailand. If any provision of this License shall be held invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remainder of this License shall remain in full force and effect.
Evaluation License

This license applies to the evaluation version of UpdateShield Professional. If you do not have an evaluation version of UpdateShield Professional, see the Standard License.

Software License Agreement for UpdateShield 1.0 Professional: Evaluation License

Notice: Carefully read the License Agreement ("License") below before using this product. Using this product indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions.

1. License Grant. Sciensoft Research. ("Sciensoft") grants you a non-exclusive license to use the product ("Software") for evaluation purposes without charge for a period of 30 days. The Software is in "use" on a computer when it is stored in memory (either temporary or permanent). Although the Software is a software development product to create a "Software Protection System" over application programs ("Protected Programs"), you are not granted any rights to distribute, give away, or sell your Protected Programs created by the evaluation version of the Software.

2. Copyright. The Software is owned by Sciensoft and is protected by Thailand copyright laws and international treaty provisions and all other applicable national laws. Therefore, you must treat the Software like any other copyrighted material (e.g., a book or musical recording) except you may make one copy of the Software solely for backup or archival purposes.
